In many ways, mental calculation is a process of simplification. For example,
the problem 432 × 3 sounds hard, but it’s the sum of three easy problems:
3 × 400 = 1200, 3 × 30 = 90, and 3 × 2 = 6; 1200 + 90 + 6 = 1296. Notice
that when adding the numbers, it’s easier to add from largest to smallest,
rather than smallest to largest.
          
Again, doing mental calculations from left to right is also generally easier
because that’s the way we read numbers. Consider 54 × 7. On paper, you
might start by multiplying 7 × 4 to get 28, but when doing the problem
mentally, it’s better to start with 7 × 50 (350) to get an estimate of the answer.
To get the exact answer, add the product of 7 × 50 and the product of 7 × 4:
350 + 28 = 378.

Multiply any two digit number with 11

Can u multiply a two digit number with 11 in just 2 seconds?

If "No" then you don't need to worry. You are going to do that. Here I am sharing the best trick to multiply any two digit number with 11.

For example, let say you want to multiply 62*11.This can be calculated in less than 1 second but if you want to do it traditionally,it will take you around 5-6 seconds.Isn't it?

So let see how using a simple mental maths trick,this calculation can be done in a matter of seconds...

To multiply 62 and 11,imagine there is a space between 52

62*11= 6_2 (Put an imaginary space in between)

 Now,what to do with that space?

Just add 6 and 2 and put the result in the imaginary space

So, 62 * 11 =682 (which is your answer)

Isn't it great?

Lets try some more examples:

1) 35 * 11 = 3 (3+5) 5 = 385

2) 81 * 11 = 8 (8+1) 1 = 891

3) 72 * 11 = 7 (7+2) 2 = 792 etc..

Now u came to know what you are to do. Let's take it to higher level.

Try this one:
85 * 11= 8_5
Think what is the answer.
If you are saying that it is 8135, then you are wrong.
When the sum of numbers come in two digits then put digit of unity in the space and carry forward other to the last digit.
Have a look
85 * 11 = 935
Sum of 8 and 5 is 13.  We put 3 in blank space and carry forward 1 to 8 and we got 9. This is how we got answer 935.

Done.

Now it is practice time.
Write down hundred two digit numbers.
And calculate them mentally.
